Old People And Golf?

Many people are now going on about how golf has become something that only people in their middle ages tend to play and something that the boss does on the weekend.

These people are both right and wrong if you think about it?

Right

One of the big problems and the reason that people think it is an old mans sport is because of some of the clothes that people turn up in. These are usually absolutely rubbish and just make the wearer look around 20 years older than they really are. The reason for this is because the clothes usually match top to bottom and make the wearer look like someone in their mid 80s that has just turned up for tea.

Batteries

Many golfers now have battery powered golf trolleys and they have made use of recent developments in leisure batteries and golf batteries. The major problem with this is that the younger golfers that use these are generally hated by the ones that do not. Source (Dad).

Wrong

The majority of the younger golfers do not wear tacky clothes or have their trolleys run around for them which is why it is not just a sport for the older generations. There seem to be many issues with the way that the pro's play too.

One of the other big reasons is that people see it as a very lazy sport because many people tend to love to drive the buggies around the course. Is this such a good thing for the sport, isnt it just promoting golfers to be a bit on the lazy side.

However if you are a bit older and need a buggy or a powered golf trolley it does not mean that you should not be playing golf. In fact you should be playing more of the game. If you think you may be going out with granddad clothes on then just ask a few friends or family members and if the answer is yes then go and change.

So get out those UPS batteries and get playing!
